Interdisciplinary Studies in Human Development
University of Pennsylvania
I am a graduate student who recently completed a second master's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Human Development at the University of Pennsylvania. I am passionate about parents' ethnic-racial socialization and the identities of multiracial and Asian American youths.
Currently working at the University of Texas at Austin, I am involved in Dr. Han’s lab as a research associate. My research explores the effects of racial discrimination on mental health and cognitive functioning in minoritized elderly ethnic-racial populations. I am particularly interested in how interpersonal supports mitigates these impacts.
Before my current position, I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Child & Family Studies at Kyunghee University and my Master's degree in Child Development & Family Studies at Seoul National University in Korea. After completing my master's degree, I wanted to conduct research on more diverse and multicultural families. This led me to the United States, where I earned a second master's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Human Development at the University of Pennsylvania.
